Aer Lingus Opens Applications for 2025 Aircraft Engineer Apprenticeship Programme
Aer Lingus is now accepting applications for its 2025 Aircraft Engineer Apprenticeship Programme, offering a unique opportunity for those with a strong technical and mechanical aptitude. Interested candidates must submit their applications by 28 February.
This four-year apprenticeship provides hands-on training, leading to a fully qualified Aircraft Engineer status. The programme is run in partnership with SOLAS, the national further education and training agency, as well as Technological University Dublin (TUD) and South East Technological University (SETU). A structured pay scale is in place throughout the training period.
Apprentices will begin their training in Dublin before spending nine months in Shannon. They will then return to Dublin, where they will work alongside experienced Aer Lingus engineers while continuing their studies at TUD or SETU to complete EASA license modules.
Upon completion, graduates will have the opportunity to join Aer Lingus' Maintenance & Engineering department, working on aircraft such as the A320 Classic, the advanced A321 XLR, and the A330.
Applications can be submitted online via the Aer Lingus website until 28 February. Applicants must be at least 18 years old by 1 September 2025.
