Our client, Sunshine Bread and Confectionery Limited t/a Walsh’s Bakehouse, based in Kilbarry, Co. Waterford, is currently seeking a Baker for immediate start at their premises at Unit 1, Block 5, Lacken Road Business Park, Kilbarry, Co. Waterford, X91 H046.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Baker in a previous role required. There are no minimum academic requirements. Relevant baker qualification/training is required. Further training will be provided on-the-job as required.
General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience:
- To make a wide range of breads, pastries and other baked goods
- To follow all processes from receipt and storage of raw materials until completion
- To prepare raw materials for bread making and baking, and to measure and mix ingredients into dough and proof
- To tend ovens to bake products to an adequate temperature and time
- Essential knowledge includes bakery ingredients, bakery production methods and crafting
- Essential knowledge includes financial capability, food and beverage industry, and food safety principles
- Essential skills include administering ingredients in food production and administering lactic ferment cultures to manufacturing products
- Essential skills include applying flame handling regulations, applying GMP and applying HACCP
- Candidate must be competent to apply requirements concerning manufacturing of food and beverages, to bake goods and to care for food aesthetic
- Candidate must be competent to check quality of products on the production line and to clean food and beverage machinery
- Candidate must have experience in ensuring the correct use of bakery equipment, ensuring sanitation and following hygienic procedures during food processing
- Candidate must have experience in tending bakery ovens, working according to recipe, and monitoring temperature in farinaceous processes
- Relevant baker qualification/training is required
- Minimum 3 years’ of relevant experience as a Baker is required
Annual remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour
