Our client, Specialized Bicycle Components Ireland Limited t/a Specialized Ireland, based in Citywest, Co. Dublin, is currently seeking a Bicycle Mechanic for immediate start for their facility at Brownsbarn Drive, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24, D24 PY6H.
Qualifications:
No formal qualifications are required. Minimum 3 years’ experience in bicycle mechanic role or in bicycle workshop required. Additional training will be provided on-the-job.
General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience:
- To fit, maintain, service and repair a variety of bicycle models and component parts
- To perform custom alterations according to client preferences
- To assemble bicycles
- To maintain braking systems on bicycles
- To maintain equipment and work area cleanliness
- To perform repairs on bicycles and replace defect components
- Essential knowledge for the role includes bicycle mechanics and assembly of bikes
- Candidate must have experience in assembling bicycles, maintaining braking systems and performing repairs on bicycles
- Candidate must have experience in examining, servicing and repairing bicycles
- Candidate must be able to maintain work equipment, tune bicycles and replace defective components
- Candidate must be competent to apply company polices, maintain customer service and administer appointments
- Candidate must be competent to replace and repair components and accessories such as brakes, gears, chain and wheels
- Relevant certifications are a plus but are not required
- 3 years’ relevant experience required
Minimum annual remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour
