Full Job Description: The primary role of the Care Assistant is to support individuals with
intellectual disabilities by providing high-quality, person-centered care. This involves
ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where individuals can engage in daily
activities and social integration. The role also includes working closely with a
multidisciplinary team, contributing to care planning, and supporting the individuals'
emotional, social, and physical well-being. The post is subject to Garda vetting, and shift
work, including days, nights, and sleepovers, is a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Be actively involved in person-centered care and support planning.
• Collaborate with team members to promote good practice and achieve team
objectives.
• Participate in care reviews and staff meetings to ensure ongoing quality care.
• Support individuals in their recreational and social activities.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for individuals in care.
39 hours/week; Base salary 32,448 - 34,476 p.a.
