Our client, Westenra Arms Hotel Limited, based in Monaghan, Co. Monaghan, is currently seeking Chefs de Partie for immediate start at their hotel in The Diamond, Monaghan, Co. Monaghan.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie in a previous role required. There are no minimum academic requirements. Relevant chef qualification/training is required. Further training will be provided on-the-job as required.
General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience:
- To design menus, create dishes and oversee the planning, organization, preparation and cooking of meals in a hotel setting
- To plan and develop recipes and menus, estimating food quantities and ordering supplies
- To monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- To inspect supplies, equipment and work area to ensure conformity with established standards
- To cook, garnish and present food
- To work at a specific kitchen station for certain dish type or cooking method
- Essential knowledge for the role includes cooking methods, food preparation techniques and food safety & hygiene regulations
- Essential knowledge includes reheating techniques, kitchen equipment maintenance and hygienic waste disposal
- Essential skills include menu planning, safe food storage and use of kitchen equipment
- Essential skills include using culinary finishing techniques and handover of food preparation area
- Candidates must have experience in a busy kitchen environment, preferably a hotel
- Candidates must be competent to be responsible for one specific kitchen station, as assigned
- Relevant chef qualification/training is required
- Minimum 2 years’ of relevant experience as a Chef de Partie
Annual remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour
