Corrib Oil, a service station and energy company, has unveiled ambitious plans to more than double its store presence nationwide, reaching 100 locations by 2030. This expansion is expected to create 1,200 jobs across Ireland.
As part of its growth strategy, the company will open at least four new service stations this year, with the first launching this month on Model Farm Road in Cork, adding 30 new jobs.
Corrib’s expansion will involve both new site developments and strategic acquisitions. Recruitment is already underway for roles in store management, retail, operations, supply chain, logistics, and head office functions.
Currently, the company operates 38 service stations across 17 counties and employs 1,150 people.
In November 2024, Corrib Oil secured an agreement to become the Irish franchise partner for Wendy’s, the US fast-food chain. Over the next two years, it plans to open 10 Wendy’s restaurants, which will include standalone locations as well as outlets integrated into existing Corrib service stations.
Chief Executive Eugene Dalton emphasized that the expansion aligns with the company’s broader growth strategy.
"We have been expanding our retail footprint in recent years to meet the fuel, retail, and service station needs of communities," Mr. Dalton said. "This programme accelerates that growth even further."
