Dublin Airport to Recruit 100 Security Officers
Dublin Airport has announced plans to hire up to 100 new security officers in the coming months, strengthening its workforce to meet growing passenger demand.
The airport’s operator, DAA, is advertising permanent full-time positions with a starting salary of €17.47 per hour. Benefits include access to a pension scheme, career advancement opportunities, subsidised meals, and airport discounts.
Following criticism over long security delays during the post-Covid travel surge, DAA has gradually increased its security staff over the past three years to accommodate record-breaking passenger numbers.
This recruitment drive aligns with DAA’s recent application to Fingal County Council to raise Dublin Airport’s annual passenger cap to 40 million.
“This is an exciting time to join Dublin Airport as we focus on enhancing the passenger experience,” said Gary McLean, Managing Director of Dublin Airport.
McLean noted that passenger satisfaction scores in 2024 reached record highs thanks to the efforts of the airport team. “The addition of new security staff will allow us to further improve the quality of service for travelers in 2025,” he added.
