Our client, Ballymooney Foods Limited t/a Wild Irish Game, based in Clane, Co. Kildare, is currently seeking Meat Deboners for immediate start for their facility in Clane Business Park, College Road, Clane, Co. Kildare, W91 PCPO.
Qualifications:
There are no minimum academic requirements. Training will be provided on-the-job. 2 years of previous experience as a Deboner or similar is required.
General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience:
- To cut animal carcasses into large and smaller parts for further processing
- To remove of bones from pre-processed carcasses of animals manually and/or using machines
- To operate cutting equipment and weighing machines
- To process, sort and split livestock organs and carcasses
- Essential knowledge includes animal anatomy for food production, cultural practices regarding animal parts sorting & animal slaughter, and documentation re. meat production
- Essential skills include application of GMP, application of HACCP, and application of food & beverage manufacturing requirements
- Essential skills include coping with blood, handling meat processing equipment in cooling rooms, and maintaining cutting equipment
- Candidates must be competent to ensure refrigeration of food in the supply chain, ensure sanitation and follow hygienic procedures during food processing
- Candidates must be competent to monitor temperature in manufacturing process of food, operate cutting equipment and weighing machine
- Candidates must have experience in handling knives for cutting activities, monitoring differences in meat colours, and handling knives for meat processing activities
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Deboner or similar role in a meat processing factory
Minimum annual remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour
