Our client in Cork is involved with Tooling and Fixture design for different industries. They are looking for Design Engineer (Mechanical) for a permanent role, ideally with 2-5 years’ experience using Solidworks to join their team.Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with our Project Managers to bring projects from initial concept to completion.
- Generation of 2D Layouts and 3D Models & Technical Drawing
- Experience working with Tooling and Fixture design is desired
- Creation of documentation inputs for complete machine life cycle tractability, spare parts, Bills of Materials etc
- Work as part of a design team; collaborate, contribute with a willingness to learn.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
- Level 8 Mechanical Engineering qualification or similar
- 3D CAD modelling and drawing, AutoCAD, Solidworks
- Some knowledge of drafting standards and tolerancing an advantage
