Job Description

There is an excellent opportunity for a Robotics Automation Designer to join an expanding innovative company based in Cork that supports the Automotive, Medcial Device, Pharma industries etc.


We are looking for a highly experienced and versatile engineer to join our clients design team who can support the team and contribute innovative ideas to enhance design processes, driving efficiency and cutting-edge solutions. As part of a highly dedicated team of engineers and technicians, you will play a key role in developing automation projects using Universal Robots to revolutionize manufacturing and industrial processes.

Duties Include:

  • Experience programming Robots for Automation applications required - experience with Universal Robots or similar
  • To liaise with stakeholders for project delivery: Customer, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
  • Support and communicate effectively with the Engineer Manager with defining work packages, planning and organising automation activities.
  • Modifications to design and manage design changes.
  • Complete all documentation to the highest quality and oversee all acceptance testing.
  • Carry out basic electrical troubleshooting when required.
  • Ensure quality in projects for usability, reliability and manufacturability.

Essential Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience working within Automation/Mechatronics/Robotics Environment.
  • SolidWorks or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Automation/Robotics.
  • Production and Customer Support.
  • Positive attitude towards work with a willingness to continually learn.
  • Well organized approach to work.
  • Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
