In this role of Residential Social Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care and support to service users in a residential setting. Your duties will include assisting and enabling service users with personal care tasks such as dressing, undressing, bathing, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times. Additionally, you will be responsible for serving meals, assisting with feeding when necessary, and performing light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning. You will play a key role in monitoring service users' health by regularly taking their temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight, and contributing to record-keeping and care plans in collaboration with professional staff.
Furthermore, you will engage service users in activities that stimulate their cognitive and emotional well-being, help them with daily living tasks like letter writing, paying bills, and managing finances, and support them in maintaining their independence. In this role, you will also ensure effective communication with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals, and contribute to the overall well-being and quality of life of those in your care.
