Job Description
Valshan Unlimited company is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef specializing in European cuisine, including Italian, French, and Mediterranean dishes. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality culinary experiences to our guests. You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and maintain the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
·Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and daily operations.
·Assist the Head Chef in planning and creating innovative menus that highlight the best of Italian, French, and Mediterranean cuisines.
·Produce high-quality plates both design and taste-wise
·Prepare and cook a variety of European dishes, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
·Maintain consistency and excellence in food preparation and presentation. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
·Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow, manage inventory, and ensure proper food storage and hygiene practices are followed.
·Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure a cohesive and effective team.
·Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
·Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality dishes and addressing any special dietary needs or preferences.
·Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
·Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.

Job Requirements
· More than 7 years of proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong background in European cuisine (Italian, French, Mediterranean).
· Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
· Extensive knowledgeable about Irish food hygiene practices and health regulations.
· Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
· Creativity and passion for food and the culinary arts.
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
