Position: Welder / Metal Fabricator
The Forge Mechanical Engineering Ltd, located at Walls Forge, Link Road, Chapelstown, County Carlow, R93H003, is looking for a full-time onsite Welder/Metal Fabricator to join the team.
We design, fabricate, and install steel and metal structures for bridges and pedestrian shelters. We partner with many bluechip companies and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. Our work methods encourage collaboration among our teams, with some team members working with Walls Engineering for over 20 years. As a result of our obsession with quality and service, we continue to expand.
Job Description
-Cut and join assemblies using appropriate welding equipment such as an electric arc, gas torch
-Ability to read drawings and operate equipment
- Assemble mechanical structures and parts with precision
-Weld to the highest standard
-Repair metal structures of different sizes
-Check and ensure conformity of fabrication with the specification
-Maintain and repair all machinery
- Occasionally transport finished goods, or goods to be Galvanised etc to or from Customers / Suppliers
Requirements:
· Candidates must have at least five years of experience in Welding Trades.
· Valid and clean Driving licence
· Must be able to work on its own initiative and as part of a team.
· Willing to join and add to a Positive dynamic team with a “can do” mentality.
Job Type: Full-time
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
Pay: €34,000.00 per year
